anywho
I had a hard time finding a kext that actually worked for this card with QE and CI, so I've decided to share my efforts. Download from this link: Radeon X1950 Pro kext I think the kext includes extensions for other ATI cards too, but I've only verified on the X1950 on OSX 10.5.7 Screenshot of my system profiler:

I have a Dell Precision 690 (close to the Mac Pro hardware). I'm trying to make work my Sapphire x1950 PRO pci-e, with no luck. Could you please be so kind to tell us, step by step, how to install this files? I would greatly appreciate!!! Thanks in advance.

Kirk Chillin
As new user I am not allowed to post a new topic. So I decided to use this thread to post my problem. I used a x1900xtx to run my osx86 10.5.8 without any problems. Until yesterday: My card exploded... Now I have to buy a new one but I don't know which one. With my x1900 I installed a ready2use driverpackage and had no problems at all running two 1920*1600 displays. Is there any current cheap graphic card I can use the same way? I searched this board for hours and now I'm totally confused. Please help me, I have no idea what to do. Greetings Kirk
bliznik
Hey, noob here OK, I'm a retard and installed the kext file without backing up my install with time machine. Now I can't boot! How do I manually roll this back? I can put in the install CD to access the terminal, but I'm unsure what commands I should enter to roll all of this back. I ran this zip on Snow Leopard 10.6.
