egoldy Posted June 13, 2009 Share Posted June 13, 2009 Hi, Every once and a while, instead of going into a screen saver, I come back to a blank screen on my macbook pro. I can see and move the cursor, but I can never get back to a log-in page (typically what happens when I come out of screen saver mode). If I hit any key, I get a "beep", but can never get anything to happen. I end up needing to hold the power key and do a hard reset (which brings back the machine). I've seen some things about "blank screen with cursor" related to running windows, but often this occurs when VMWare is not running. I can't isolate what's going on. Any ideas?
