Problem: When I boot my laptop from A/C power, Jas 10.4.6 is working perfectly. But when i power on my laptop from battery (without A/C power plug-in), the computer is running slowly.
Cause: There is a special feature in my BIOS's power settings. Laptop automatically turns on battery power saving feature when A/C power is not detected. Therefore, the performance of the laptop has been reduced.
Solution: Disable power saving setting in the BIOS. Check your BIOS settings.
Note: I'm running Jas 10.4.6 on IBM T42.
