Alright so once Again I F'd My computer when trying to update to 10.5.7 form iPC 10.5.6, but it was really my fault because I was being stupid about it. Anywho, when it came to reinstalling I had a real hard time getting my card to work again AS I ALWAYS DO (will some one please add 6800xt to there next distro!) .

Adding my dev ID to NVDANV40.kext & NVDAResman.kext only gave me options for a higher resolution.

I had previously used Lawless 10.5.4 (moded zephyroth 10.5.2?) and got my 6800xt working right off the bat just by adding my dev ID. So I removed the nvidia kexts and drivers and rebooted and opened pacifist. I put my Lawless 10.5.4 DVD and searched for "nvidia".

I selected the disclosure triangle next to nvidia and installed the "contents of NVinject-0.2.1 256mb.pkg"(choose according to ram size) & then "contents of nvidia-kexts.pkg".

After I installed those two packages (one after the other, not at the same time) I restarted into single user (-s).

In single user I added My dev ID to NVDANV40.kext & NVDAResman.kext (/System/Library/Extensions/). The interesting thing is that "Geforce.kext" already had my full dev ID(0x00c310de), which may be why this worked. After I had added my dev ID's i simply typed "exit" and it went straight to the desktop with QE enabled.

This is really the only way I have been able to get this to work on my computer and everytime I do it it takes forever.

*** NOW... You maybe able to get this work without 'Lawless 10.5.4' DVD if you just add your dev ID to 'Geforce.kext' but im not sure about this. Good luck.
