Krizbee1 Posted May 15, 2009 Share Posted May 15, 2009 I've just got Protools le 5.2 with the digi 01 on a Mac G4. I've been using Cubase SX for years but want to use the digi 01 as it has more ins and outs than my PC. Everything runs fine except the midi. It's very different from Cubase. I have no out board sound modules but was hoping to trigger Reason on Cubase via the Mac which logically should work? (I may be wrong there). I set up a midi track in protools and drew a few notes in there and connected it to the midi in on my PC with Reason open but the digi01 doesn't seem to be sending any midi signal. I've tried to configure the OMS as it was set up on a different system before but when it searches for ports it doesn't seem to find any. With Cubase it's just a matter of creating a midi track an selection your in and out and the job was done. I've looked through the pdf help in protools and can only find midi help relating to recording midi and setting up controllers but nothing about connecting sound modules. Can anyone advise on this?
