Can anybody tell me how to install iATKOS 5i on Acer Aspire 5920 My system config is :

Intel Core2Duo Processor T5550

1.83 GHz,667 Mhz FSB,2 MB L2 Cache

Intel GMA X3100

2GB DDR2

160 GB HDD

802.11 a/b/g WLAN

RealTek High Definition Audio

Presently I have two partition and one partition has xp installed with fat32 FS and other is free with Fat32 FS.

Is it good to use iATKOS 5i or Kalyway, which one is better?.

Which of the things will not work if i use iATKOS or Kalway...can anyone tell me steps to install it?.Do i need to change BIOS to IDE while booting DVD ISO.

Thanks,

Abheshek

1 - (windows) I used Partition Magic to delete a partition (I used 20GB) and let it Unformatted.

2 - (windows) Used a command DOS called diskpart to turn the partition af type.

save a txt file with the contents below:

----------------------------------

file script.txt

select disk=0

LIST PARTITION

select partition=5

create partition primary id=af

list DISK

detail disk

detail partition

----------------------------------

(Console) diskpart run a script (that one that you just saved)

diskpart \s script.txt

3 - Boot the note with the iAtkos 5i DVD

4 - (OSx) Go to Disk Utility

clear the partition that is fs type.

5 - Now just follow the instruction of the instalation.

to install the Ethernet:

find the kext: BCM8587.zip

and

PCCard.10.5.2.Beta2.pkg.zip

any problems, send me a message.
