I can install this just fine, but it won't run. It gives me some VT error.
YES, I've searched, but haven't found a clear answer in whether or not it works on an AMD system.

I think that it won't work.
AMD uses another hardware-based virtualization than Intel.
Parallels is "made" for Intel CPUs...
One more thing: The AMD Athlon 64 3700+ doesn't even have the AMD Virtualization...
So install VMWare Fusion.In my opinion it's even better than Parallels.
And if you don't want buy something,try VirtualBox.It's free and it's pretty good (especially for free).
