fjleon Posted May 2, 2009 Share Posted May 2, 2009 Hey guys i installed itakos 10.5.5 but i have a 4850 card and i get a black screen when booting. Searching the forums i have seen the netkas blog and this topic http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=155477 but i don't know how to install those since i don't have a screen or a secondary video card to boot. I have been able to enter single user mode with -s at boot, but i can't manage to read my usb flash drive to install the drivers, and even if i could i don't know how to install .pkg or .dmg files (i have seen some posts about using installer -pkg and hdiutil) Will this require 10.5.6? fjleon Posted May 2, 2009 Author Share Posted May 2, 2009 i am able to read my usb flash drive now. i copied the natit.kext dir i found at netkas site to the extensions folder. But i also have a ATI_Init.pkg file and when i try to install it with /usr/sbin/installer -pkg -target / i get an error that it cannot determine the proper UUID. How can i fix this?
