Asus 7600GS 512MB PCIE video card not working on OSX 10.5.2 (Kalyway) Help?

I hate hate hate HAAATE being a noob for this, and actually creating a thread on a forum with such a wealth of information, but I honestly believed I've searched everywhere and tried all that i've found, here on these forums, on osx86 forums, and google, and after 3 days of it i'm just really broken, torn, and confused.

 

My rig, I have an Asus pw5 DH Deluxe motherboard, with 8GB ddr2 ram, and the ASUS branded 7600GS with 512 MB of RAM, and it's PCIE (It's the one with no fan onboard, just a wide huge heatsink)

 

Everyone has gotten their 7600's to work except me! I've found success stories for the AGP versions, the 256MB versions, the nvidia branded, the XFX, the PNY... but none for the ASUS brand, i've found others like me who have issues, and no follow up from them as to whether they ever got it working or not under 10.5.2!

 

This sounds simple and should be simple enough, I've installed a few of the all-in-one installer solutions, and i've tried the copy over, edit kext solutions, i've mixed and matched, I feel like I've done it all, and the closest i've come to it is this:

 

I have a DELL monitor, 26 inch, capable of 1920 x 1440 (i think that's right) I installed nvinject, and got nothing, i dug up my dev id in the forum and placed it in all the kexts relating (geforce, nvinject, nv*40, 30, 10 etc) but no deal.

 

It wasn't until I loaded NVkush, that my vid card loaded at my native resolution of 1920 1440. but no QE / CI. as I edit audio / video, I need this, so I went into the geforce kext, the nvkush text, and nv40*kext and put in my dev id, i think it was 03920x10de or something, forgive me for bad information but as of present my copmuter has a black screen so i cant get the right info -

 

I was doing the permissions thing that i saw, the chown and chmod for those files in the extensions folder, but i removed the nv10, 20, and 50 file. when i removed the 50, i had to reboot by force (it showed a big black box saying you need to hold down the power button) after that, i get black screen and mouse cursor, no login. i try safemode, i get the same black box at apple loadup. I only have single usermode now, i'm gonna try and /movevideodrivers and start all over again, but i feel as if i've done everything. What am I missing?

 

Again I apologize if this is in the wrong place, or i'm asking the wrong things, i'm not farmiliar with the workings of this panel as yet :s

okay, i got it to work, it seems that everything i was doing was for nothing because my card was 512 and needed to be flashed first. flashed it, now it works fine using nvkush installer, and kexts - but only on the vga output, not dvi. worked on dvi before, without qe or ci, but no matter - im happy!!!
