I have MSI X-Slim x340 with Intel Link Wireless 5150 (Wi-Fi + WiMax).

1. Installed Mac OS 10.5.7 (clean install - vanilla kernel), have made upgrade to 10.5.8

2. Turned on Intel Link Wireless 5150 from Windows

3. Installed PROSet/Wireless 3945, 4965, 5150, 5350, 6x00, 6x50, 1000 OS X 10.5 SVN latest

4. System doesn't boot - I see this:

booting with -v gives:

I just installed the PROSet/Wireless 3945, 4965, 5150, 5350, 6x00, 6x50, 1000 OS X 10.5 SVN latest and I get the same thing. When finishing the installation, I am prompted to restart, and thats when I first get the error. I manually power down, boot, and get the same error again.

I am using ipc 10.5.6 clean install on a thinkpad t60 with 3935abg card.

please help me, i have installed iAtkos_v7 on my toshiba satellite a205 laptop, but the internet won't work, how can i make this work? so that i can surf the web. :) thanks in advance!

can you give us a little more information. like wired or wireless. I assume wireless. Also what type of wireless. I would recommend installing osx86tools and then use it to install lspci. You can then run lspci and see exactly what osx thinks is your wireless device. have you installed the iwifi drivers and utilities yet?

Thank you, i to need 5100 drivers but after reading for days that its just not happening yet i brought this dongle and used this driver.

So I have a question... Maybe it's been answered, but I've scanned through alot of posts, and haven't found it.

My Vanilla install of Snow leopard 10.6 on a Thinkpad T60 had everything working after I added the ps2 patch. Wireless for 3945 was working fine. After upgrade to 10.6.2, the wireless stopped working. I've done a diff on the kext files on the machine, and only see 16 different kexts total.

Turns out I do have the Atheros 5212 card, not the 3945. Never mind... Everything is working as it should be! Upgrading now to 10.6.3.

(I have 2 partitions. One upgraded to 10.6.2, and the other one still at original)

The groups are:

AppleHDA.kext

AppleBluetoothMultitouch.kext

AppleHIDKeyboard.kext

AppleMultitouchDriver.kext

ATI4500Controller

Ati4600Controller

AudioAUUC.kext

IO80211Family.kext (AirPortAtheros21 and AppleAirPortBrcm43224.kext)

So with no removed kexts that I can find, I guess I can see what kexts are loaded, and which ones are not, but it seems that the IO80211Family.kext is the one that makes it stop working.

Any info you guys/gals can provide?

-Tom
