Support for the 4670 is there (ID 9490) but on restart I got black screen with gray rubbish all over. Can somebody figure this out? I tried with DVI to VGA on the other port and versa but no result. Hi, how did you manage to get this update. I presume you are referring to a pre-release version of the upcoming 10.5.7 update. I have a similar card (the 1GB Powercolor) and have been trying a few things to no avail, and have had similar problems. I think we really need someone in the know like netkas to make this work. It seams that they have to be modified for PC version of 4000 series gpu (I think so ...). Sadly I do not have the knowledge to do that - only someone like Netkas can do the trick - if he is willing to do that. Until then, we have to wait. Thanks netkas, At least we know now that the 4670 isn't working for a known reason (so perhaps a future framebuffer will fix it). By the way, does anyone know (have searched but couldn't find anything about ATI) if I can use my 'unsupported' 4670 with two monitors (I'm using VESA drivers with custom resolution through a config file that I've forgotten the name of -think it's com.apple.boot.plist, but not certain). I knew that 4670 was not supported before I bought mine, but I needed a card that could take all the energy it needs directly from the pci-e slot, instead of using another 12v rail. My first option was 4850, but... Anyway. The 1st guy says that he found an explicit reference to 4670 on the update. And you say that it's not working because is not supported YET by framebuffers. What that mean? 1) Apple is supporting (on the next leopard release) 4670, but a different version? 2) You say yet. What's that? ATI, Apple or maybe one of the hackintosh community coders are working on something? is there hope in the future?
