StarTide
I have a Dell Optiplex 755 that I have successfully gotten Leopard to install on (XxX version) with two lingering issues. Sound doesn't work yet, but I haven't spent much time figuring it out, but the big one is video support. Looking around I can't find any Kext's for a Radeon 4550. Does such an animal exist? If so, could someone provide a pointer for me? Thanks
Synaesthesia
No, there are none, unfortunately, Supported cards include: ATI 2400,2600, 3650, 3850, 3870, 4850, 4870 but not 4550, 4650 or 4750 yet!

Just wondering where the support for the 4850 is? Because as far as I know there are no drivers for the 4850 at present.
Andy4life
hey guys, just wondering if there are any updates on kexts for the 4550, I just bought two of these cards and it's basically the only thing preventing me from giving snow leopard a go right now
redeux
hey guys, just wondering if there are any updates on kexts for the 4550, I just bought two of these cards and it's basically the only thing preventing me from giving snow leopard a go right now It's possible to run Snow Leopard/Leopard on the 4550 in full resolution in VESA mode, I do right now until I get my 4870x2 delivered. Just remove all ATI Radeon kexts from your system and boot with "Graphics Mode"="1600x1200x32" (or whatever your resolution is) and you're up and running. Not a great solution though obviously since you have no 2d/3d acceleration what soever.
