is Safari included in X86 a crippled version?

It seemes like the Safari browser that we all have from the dev kits are highly crippled in many regards. You can just tell it from the file size, its way less then half the binary size as a normal PPC one.

here is what I have noticed:

* Safari fails ACID 2 test (yes the same test Apple flaunts as Safari being almost the only compatable browser for)

* awful implementation of CSS (many sites dont render as nicely as in the PPC Safari or Firefox, even when going through a proxy that forces proper identification of the browser).

* Some parts of Apple's own website doesnt even render (feild where you enter Apple ID or your information to get an updated iTunes install doesnt render).

* Switching to Rosetta only doesnt help.

* Running it in PearPC also doesnt appear to improve things much

I have tried this on multiple PCs (P4, K8, even one dev kit) so I dont think its just me. You may think this isnt anything serius, but developers need to sign in using their Apple ID to get into the restricted developer section of apple's site.

Not sure if this is the fluke of just a few machines, but if Apple is anywhere near releasing iLife and iWork as universal this could be quite troubeling since they havent even gotten Safari down.

I haven't noticed functionality differences, personally, and the PPC one doesn't pass the ACID2 test either... I have a 'real' mac to test on and I can't tell any difference, either. So I guess I don't quite understand.
