AD1986a...HELP!

Hi!

 

i have a P5GPL-X mobo with Intel AD1986a Soundmax audio integrated...

 

Please help me to work it...i tried with ALC880 package and Azalia without results...in sound menu appear "HD Audio Output" in OUT LINE,but no sound :tomato::( :(

i have a P5GPL-X mobo with Intel AD1986a Soundmax audio integrated...

 

i have the same sound chipset and the only way i got my sound to work was the iPC 10.5.6 install with the included AD1986 driver. any patches were useless. i still can't adjust sound systemwide (it's much too loud), but VLC controls work just fine.

 

this is not high quality advice but hopefully it will help you until somebody has a better solution.

I installed 10.4.11 osx86 for my laptop ASUS A8HE, I've tried installing the Audio driver included in the image but it didn't work. I tried patching the codec dump from linux using Taruga's patcher v1.20 but it's saying that it's not currently supported and it's under research. I've used Azalia, fortunately I have sound only in my built-in speaker but when I plug the green jack for my headset there's no sound at all. I hope somebody could give a resolution for this or any idea just to fix the problem. I've googled this issue for 3 days now and I can't find any solution though. Thanks in advance
