mrbritesidez
I've been for the past three days endlessly restoring my laptop back and forth and we'll as much of a programmer as I am... i give up. I even tried mixing guides to see if i can get this thing to work and no dice... That's my lappy: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&Tab=2&NoMapp=0 Ummm I'm trying to boot "media center 2005" , "Mac OS X" , and "Linux Fedora Core 5" on my x86 laptop. Here is what I have done to install it. (I'm trying to install OSX 10.4.4) I followed the guide below from start to finish , but when i read the chain0 posting online it basically says copy CHAIN0 from the cd to your hard drive C:\ .. i did. Then edit the boot file "boot.ini" i added "C:\CHAIN0='Mac OS X'" at the very end.. and still nothing. Mac wouldn't run http://blog.adonias.cl/leer.php?id=78&Lang=EN Then I tried XP it said "Missing or corrupt shal.dll" then i said screw it... I tried the same things again , but linux before the osx install same thing... I'm getting fustrated... I know you mite think of me as an idoit , but how do I triple boot this on my laptop.... could u please do help me? posssibly visuals and as painfully easy as possible... I think ... well... :-\ im serverly confused..
snackole
Boot from Ubuntu 5.10 Live CD and setup 3 primary partitions using Gparted. Boot from your OSX install DVD open Disk Utility and format the second partition as MacOS Extended. Go back to the installer and install OSX. Boot from your Windows install CD and install it to the first partition. Find yourself a copy of Partition Magick and set the second partition (OSX) as active. Boot from your Fedora Core install CD and install it to the third partition. Make sure you install GRUB to the MBR and not the root directory of your Linux partition. Open the Gnome-Terminal window and edit /boot/grub/menu.lst following the guides at his link http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...e#Grub_in_short Good luck !!!
