I know that the 9800 GTX has better support on OSX86 than the ATI 4850/4870 cards right now, but it seems that Netkas and crew are working out the kinks on the ATI drivers. Also 10.5.7 is imminent and we should have native drivers for the ATI cards since they are in the new Mac Pro's. That said, what card should I buy in terms of the following considerations: 1. Compatibility - Now and into the future 2. Performance - Nvidia vs ATI 3. Price - Is 4870 premium worth it vs 4850 and 9800 (I'm a casual gamer) Thanks for any input, especially by current card owners! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And who knows the drivers in 10.5.7 final might have the same problems as the beta ones... But 10.5.7 do also add support for new Nvidia cards...
