Write access to hard drives (using both OSX and Vista)

Question.

Although this is probably quite a noob and simple question (I'm hoping it is)

I basically have a 1TB HDD that I use as my storage drive for music, movies etc. Now while OSX will recognise and read these drives, I can't find a way to allow write access while I'm in OSX. So in other words, if I'm going to move, add or edit something on that hard drive, I can only do it inside Vista, not OSX.

I have a sneaky suspicion that I won't ever be able to use OSX to write to that HDD while it is NTFS formatted, but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Is there any way I can give OSX full access to that drive? Or will it forever be in Vista's clutches unless I formatted it in OSX using Disk Utility.

Help?
