appleball Posted March 20, 2009 Share Posted March 20, 2009 Hi everyone, as the title says, if you experienced a successful driver installation for your ATI card Please specify the driver used and your computer info. so other people can use it and find it easily I think it's quite big forum and not easy to get the right driver as well as the fail in installing the driver will cause you to reinstall the whole operation system. [...] You never need to reinstall the whole system because of a wrong or not working driver. When booting in safe mode (-x) doesn't help, You simply need to boot in 'single user mode' (-s, google for it) and You can remove/replace/fix the offending kexts. As a last chance, You can boot from the installation OSX DVD and perform the aforementioned operations from the terminal available there. The only thing it really takes, is knowing what you're doing.
