SilverHawke
I currently have an VisionTek HD 2400 Pro video card and when I check for updates from Apple, I get this update notice. I have my video card running well and I would hate to mess it up, but I'm also curious if anyone has tried this update. Thanks. ATI HD 2600 XT Firmware Update: This update is for Mac Pro computers with one or more ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics cards installed, running Mac OS X 10.5.2 or later with the Leopard Graphics Update. It updates the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics card firmware on all of the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics cards in the Mac Pro to improve system stability. Installing this update on a 2.8 GHz Mac Pro system configured with multiple hard drives or more than 2GB of RAM will result in the system meeting Energy Star 3.0 requirements. I have the same issue with a ASUS 2600 XT that the SU wants to have updated with newer firmware, but I'm afraid to do so with a non-Apple card. Any guinea pigs out there? regards, MAJ
