ok, if the aim is to update the bios to the latest version, my "bios" is newly updated

I'm using "DVD iatkos 5i"

Can be the reason for the constant reboot?

You MUST flash the bios with the modified 1.30 version in the first Post.

Without this BIOS you can't install Leopard

Have You read the guide?

Ciao, Giorgio

3) Riavviate, eseguite le operazioni preliminari poi:

Hi again Giorgio

I'm in step 3).

I have a problem. relatives of Ideneb:

After making the entire installation as explained in the guide, the computer restarts and never loads macintosh.

Only appears on screen the logo of "apple" but does nothing, the logo is locked.

I have tested with (-f and-x), but does the same

The second time I installed Mac: Select the option of "Kernel: 9.5.0 Voodoo" and the problem persists.

When booting with the option (-v) appears in a black screen with text. but there are no options to click.

Do I picture and get the error here?

For now I will attach a summary of my computer:

I'm about to get my macintosh!

thanks

a greeting for you

I do not think is a problem of video

no?

@raegten. in my opinion is a problem of Video card.

Post an image of the screen.

Try to dont't select anything for Video during installation. If don't works try to delete AtiRadeonX200.kext and ATIRadeonX1000.kext.

(But this is off Topic)

can I delete these files from another operating system?

good. I will try to erase the hard disk by putting on another computer

thx

If you have windows on the same PC install macdrive and delete from windows the two kexts.

If you don't have windows start leopard with -s flag and at the prompt type:

mount -uw / <return>

cd /System/Library/Extensions <return>

rm -rf ATIRadeonX1000.kext <return>

rm -rf ATIRadeonX2000.kext <return>

reboot <return>

the commands are case sensitive and the spaces are importants.

I have 1 hd with windows and with mach hd

These commands are for windows

no?

The commands are for >leopard in Single Mode User (starting with -s flag activate Single User Mode)

From Windows you must install Macdrive and delete the two kexts in /System/Library/Extensions of leopard partition.

Macdrive is an utility that allows to modify files in a leopard partition from windows.

Good Night, Giorgio (I go to sleep, tomorrow morning I go at work at six)

This is the error that occurres with a NON MODIFIED BIOS.

Have you modified BIOS with the file in the first post?

I updated my bios to version 1.30 as you said in the guide. and configured in their own way.

anyway I will start again from 0

thanks for your patience Giorgio

You have you updated with the original 1.30 Asrock BIOS (downloaded from Asrock site) an that is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You MUST update with the file that is in the first POST. Is a modified BIOS, not the original. With the original bios you can't install Leopard

This is the BIOS file to update: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=46734

then the problem I have is that

I do not know how to enter a rom in my bios

:S

The method is the same that you have used with original 1.30 Asrock BIOS, but instead of using the original ROM, use the modified ROM in the link.

Obviousley the first.

But this is off topic. This is not a Topic for flash the BIOS, that is an elementary procedure.

This is a GUIDE.
