Eric.C
I've jailbroken my 2G iPod (which unfortunately doesn't have Installer, only has Cydia)... is there a way to enable bluetooth and install the iPhone apps? (eg Phone, SMS, Camera, etc.)
Marclh
Those features cannot be used on the iPod Touch because of the hardware that is not there. And even if you did get those apps on the iPod Touch, they would be useless.
Synaesthesia
Closest you can get is Skype.
geiman
There used to be some "transformation" packages in cydia you could install to transform your iPod and make it look like an iPhone. The apps wouldn't work, as again the hardware isn't there but it looked just like an iPhone would. Not sure if they're still available or not. And if I was you, I'd stick with cydia over installer. installer certainly did have its time, but I think cydia is a great improvement on that idea. RaiDesu
Bluetooth should be available on 3.0.
beefpitas
what about getting a bluetooth adaptor for the ipod and using a bluetooth headset to make calls via skype? i agree, though. it seems like the iphone has bluetooth, why not the ipod touch? with all the bluetooth headphones available, you'd think the companies that make them might lobby apple to include it. in all the ipods actually. but i guess they sell you the adapters, too.
