Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L, sleep mode is S3(STR)

hmm i have Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P, sleep mode is S3(STR) also. I wonder if its 4870 vs. 4850 or some kext I am missing.

Are you using openhaltrestart or voodoopower or both? or neither?

I'm working with a retail 10.5.6 install / kernel. I did install Voodoo power at one point, but the system wakes no problem with or without VP.

EDIT: Sorry, yep just checked and yes I have both VP and openhaltrestart installed at the moment.

I have a IPC 10.5.6 x-dl standard installation + sapphire 4870 512mo + ep35-ds3l

1) I have installed the drivers package and nothing more

Issues:

1 - cannot change resolution (stucked in 1920*1200 on 24" not blocking since i dont change anyway, but that could be great)

2 - the computer goes to sleep technically and wake but the screen never wake up - This is terribly annoying.

All the rest works perfectly on my install (included restart and shutdown, my bios is set to s3, i dont have the button available "restart in case of a power failure" so i cannot try that)

Please help......
