I was wondering ; can someone tell me if the 1,25GHz logic board (only sold on iMac models with 17" and 20" display) can be used on a >1GHz 15" display ? It should be, since the 1440*900 resolution is native, but it can be downgraded to 1024*768. I guess it's not a problem (you can use a GeForceMX4 [17" 800MHz only] on a 15" display), but I'd like to be sure before buying a 1,25GHz card. I can officially set up a 1GHz logic board (can be used on 15" and 17"), so why not a 1.25GHz, the Rolls-Royce of iMac ? PS : YES I use a 15" display, and I don't care about this : it's not that large, and by downgrading the whole system the gpu can be used much better on other things, like games .
