I tried it with a HD2600XT and HD3850

Since yesterday my brand new Hackintosh is working. But 24p doesn't work on my system. I have the Radeon HD 2600XT. But unfortunately I can't select 24Hz when connected to my Full-HD LCD-TV. The only options for the refresh rate are 50Hz (PAL) and 60Hz (NTSC). I used the installer from here. The graphic card runs with all resolutions and QE/CI. I's connected to the LCD-TV with a DVI->HDMI adaptor. Is there a way to make 24Hz accessible? Please help me!

My config:

Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS4 Rev. 2.1

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2,66 Ghz

RAM: 2x2048MB Kit OCZ Platinum 1066MHz CL5

LCD-TV: Sony KDL-40W4500

OS: MacOSX Leopard Retail Install + 10.5.6 Combo Update + alle official Apple-Updates.

Hey dude, 24p = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24p

It is not the refresh rate.

It is the frame /second .

Actually, for HD video, they are the same. With my 3870X2 in windows, I set the refresh rate to 24Hz and then my TV says that it's in 24p mode. If you think about it, frames per second and 24 Hz (Hz = 1/second) are the same thing. It refreshes the frame 24 times in a second. Think about it.

Here's another way to think about it: If you play a game that your card can easily get over 60 frames per second on with vsync turned off, try turning vsync on and see what your fps is at. It should be locked at 60. This is because your monitor's refresh rate is set at 60 Hz. If you have a CRT monitor that has a higher refresh rate, set it higher and watch your fps increase to the current refresh rate. Then set the refresh rate to 24Hz and you'll see that vsync locks your fps to 24. They go hand in hand.

Also, to answer the OP's question, I don't think Leopard supports 24Hz as I am running a macbook pro hooked up to my Sony XBR 40" and I also don't have the ability to select anything other than 60Hz even though it does have the ability to do 24p.
