...

ill more than likely go with a different case/power combo only because i want something a little bit better and convenient...

if you have a case and power supply suggestion i would like them please, also let me know what you think about the one on the list...

this package comes out pretty cheap so i dont want it to much higher, i plan to buy osx as well. in fact i need to buy it before snow leopard comes about because i am an audio engineer and some may know that digidesign is terrible on updating compatibility right away so yea.

im debating between box set and just osx... i mean i want those extra programs but then again i dont so ill probabley just get osx by itself...

this is the guide i was suggested...

A great guide for this motherboard is here:

http://auzigog.com/2008/12/23/hackintosh-20/

i already downloaded the contents and from what i understand from me reading the article i know i can instal osx with no issues. my question to you this will this guide with all the kexts and software make my hackintosh compatible. meaning will i maybe need additional items for the graphics card and anything... i am aware that thisis a guide for the board im going with, so im guessing the ethernet should work for sure right lol

this is probabley one of my most scrambled post, but i am throwing down everything i think of just because i dont wanna mess this up. ive never built a pc but im not stupid, most of this {censored} makes sense to me...

one question i had was when i boot the first time it says boot with the one cd, i dont feel like being specific. since the mobo has no os will it no to boot the disc or do i have to press esc

so whats the order of hardware installation?

im aware you place cpu and ram in mobo before putting it into case, do i have everything in before i boot, hard drive graphics etc...

thanks

Yes, you do have to have everything in before you boot, that is Power supply, Motherboard, RAM, Hard Drive, Optical Drive & Graphics card. I put my CPU on the motherboard, then mount the Fan (if it's a screw type), then I install the motherboard. You can put the fan in after or before you mount the motherboard, if it's a pushpin type. Same with RAM.

Everything should work. Maybe ethernet will have slight issues. To fix that just get an ethernet card in this list.

Your case and PSU are good. I would choose that too.

Haha....that list of components looks familiar...

I originally came up with that list based around a certain dollar point.

While the case and PSU are good stuff, I can recommend some others:

Antec 300 - $60 Awesome case, I use it myself for my build. Excellent cooling and a ton of room for hard drives. PSU not included.

Coolermaster 590 - $60 Another excellent case among the enthusiast community. Excellent cooling and lots of room for expansion. No PSU with this one either.

As far as power supplies, I suggest paying it bit more for higher quality.

Corsair 400 watt - $60 Corsair is all but legendary in their power supplies. Gobs of clean, no bs power. You are paying for top quality. If you think you need more than 400 watts, they have several other options available. But with the build you have in mind, 400 watts is more than enough.

I Agree.

Good choice in Motherboard. I have the very same one.

Lost of room for tweaking the bus, cpu, memory.

The PS is the only thing that seams weak.

I would get at least a 450W power supply.

Btw - The sound requires some additional hacked kexts but it works
