wangjiajun
Dear all, I have osx 10.5.6 installed on my Thinkpad T60 with ATI Radeon X1300 graphical card. After installation, the resolution is stuck at 1024*768. I checked the hardware, it says Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x7149 However, there is no kext loaded for this graphical card. I tried to modify ATIRadeonX1000.kext in /System/Library/Extensions/ and add my device there 0x71491002 However, still it is stuck there. How can I change the resolution? Which driver I should use? Thanks for any clue!
super_engine
Hi For the laptops with ATI mobility cards is very hard obtain a good performance. 1) you must enable QE/CI. This is possible with the correct ID in the ATIRAdeonX1000.kext (for this see in this forum. you can find the kext for your ID) : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=148937 2) For the resolution, At the boot press F8 and type "Graphics Mode"="XresxYresxColor" (i.e. "Graphics Mode"="1440x900x32") Good Luck Dear all, I have osx 10.5.6 installed on my Thinkpad T60 with ATI Radeon X1300 graphical card.
