Can confirm it is working on my miniPCI Prism II wlan device! (manufacturer unknown, came with the laptop and never took it apart)

had some strange behaviour at first, the window that asks for the network name and password popped up a couple of times although I was already connected. That disappeared though and everything seems to work flawlessy now :thumbsup_anim:

can i just ask... does this driver make the card appear to be an Airport card? ie can I use the built-in wireless menu stuff, or do i need to use something else to configure the card?

Hi!, I've just installed JaS 10.4.6 version.

I mount the dmg image, and appears two scripts, install.command and uninstall.command. I press install, and the terminal asks me for the root password.

I put it on, and it says that kext successfully loaded, and that the configuration program is opening, but... nothing happens...why?

I have a SMC 2835W Cardbus with the Intersil PRISM GT chipset...

anyone knows what happens??

Many Thanks!!!

hi,

this driver works perfect with a WG511 (PrismGT) ;)

I also own a WG511 Prism GT, but it seems that the cardbus isn't well managed by the kernel, therefore i can't load the driver:

IOPCCard notice: AdjustResourceInfo: Bad size

IOPCCardBridge::start failed

Trying to install the GTDriver throws:

++++ Installing Driver ++++

14WiFiController is not compatible with its superclass, 20IOEthernetController superclass changed?

kextload: a link/load error occured for kernel extension /System/Library/Extensions/GTDriver.kext

load failed for extension /System/Library/Extensions/GTDriver.kext

(run kextload with -t for diagnostic output)

Hmm I know this post has been a while, but the link above doesn't work anymore

anyone has this driver and is willing to share?

the binary provided on GTDriver's homepage is for PPC platform I think... and the person who did this driver said it's compiled for Intel

Thanks.

Sorry,

first I had no Internet access and then I haven't looked into this forum.

I've uploaded it again:

http://osx.totosoft.de/GTDriver.dmg

(maybe it takes some time, because i just created the subdomain)

But it was really only one line of code I've changed so thank the binaervarianz.de guys for this piece of software.

Greetings,

Thorsten
