Thanks reader02! It works here but not after sleep. It reports everything is ok, cable connected but no ping to the router. I wonder if we could adjust anything in dsdt (I already injected the device, changed to built-in=yes). Where's the source code for it?

Thx a million ;)

Thanks reader02, that's some kind of work around but it would be nice to have a fixed driver for hibernate. Maybe we can compare the code to the linux driver delivered by asus. Several lines in there can be spotted to put the device to sleep and waking it up again.

Works on my asus p5gc-mx, great effort on the author's part to get this chip compatible with OSX86. So far its great for surfing and internet stuff, but is really slow when filesharing and in a home network setting, about ten times slower, I had to go back to a the 8139. Hope this info helps with debugging.

cheers! :(

It's working on leopard 10.5.2 .

I give it a try but I get "Ethernet Adaptor (en0) has a self-assigned IP address and may not be able to connect."

Thanks for the effort but please :)

P5GC-MX 1333

leopard : 10.5.5 (ideneb)

After a few reboot and retry, :)it works :( however it seems that it does not like to sleep. When it wakes up I get "Ethernet Adaptor (en0) has a self-assigned IP address and may not be able to connect." again. kextunload + kextload seems to fix the problem (this solution was mentioned for ATL1E elsewhere).

Thanks a lot very good job.

Thanks a lot reader02! It works almost perfect :D

Sleep issues is gone - no problems anymore. I checked the debug kext: The upload seems to be very poor - 3.4GB estimated time = 60 min. The 8139 showed 7 min. for the same file.

It logs "no enough resource!!" every few packets.

Thanks again, great work reader02

This is really exciting for us P5GC owners.

Does everyone report the same issue with even the latest version of the driver, that speed is slow?

I have only one computer at home, we can not test file sharing. From your description, the card seems to work in 10M mode.Check your card's Speed LED, if lit? Or else set the media type to 100 M, full-duplex mode.
