Parallels Beta 3 - FAT partition crashes

Just installed Parallels Workstation Beta 3 release on my Dell D600 Hackintosh (10.4.3). It initially installed Windows XP fine (eventually), but crashed on booting from there on. My 'virtual' harddrive image was on a FAT32 partition that I use as a shared drive between my OSX86 installation and my native WinXP installation.

I reinstalled with the virtual drive on the OSX partition and it ran like a charm. A little slow, even with the Parallel Tools installed, but the machine is only a SSE2 Pentium M 1.6 :( I have 1GB RAM and it seems to run other apps with no slowdown at all. Bootup time is very quick.

If they can build in serial port virtualisation, I'll be happy to remove my XP installation and just run OSX with Parallels. Awesome.

Edit - pointer works brilliantly. Clip board works flawlessly between OS X and the virtual machine. Have attached a screen shot.
