JoeyH3
I recently purchased an used PowerMac G4 Quicksilver, 733Mhz, 512Mb RAM, 80Gb and 40Gb hard drives. It came with OS 10.3 on it, but the seller also included a bunch of CDs to install Mac OS 10.4 with it (it was a school selling alot of used computers). The problem is, the 10.4 CDs are for an eMac, not a PowerMac G4. When I try to install the OS, it says "This software cannot be installed on this computer". Is there anyway I can easily override this? I am not quite fond of how all modern software (Safari 3, Firefox 3, iTunes 8, etc) requires 10.4 or later, but I'm stuck with 10.3. A Nonny Moose
The eMac disk will not work because it's keyed for the eMac through some strange quirk. With that out of the way... We can't help you
