SticMAC™
If it's 32-bit Vista you will only see 3GB you need to load the Vista 64-bit version to see all of it! SticMAC
DeAngelo
so 32 bit vista only uses 3 or only shows 3 but uses 4?
sigxcpu
Shows AND uses 3GB. Addressing space in 32-bit is 4GB, out of which some 100s of MBs are mapped in PCI I/O space.
ludacrisvp
Yup it is limited to 32 bit address space... this gives you only about 3gb in your machine but only 2gb on the mac pro. 64 bit is the way to go.
cspeich
Slightly different situation here - Unibody MBP, 4GB Memory, OSX 10.6, Boot Camp 3.0, Vista Home Premium. Windows is only showing 1GB out of the 4 (or even the 3GB max in 32-bit). Any ideas on how to see and use the remaining 2GB? I could really use it...
