Have installed 10.5.4 using i Atkos 4i distribution smoothly without a hitch. Wifi enabled and graphics updated per other postings on the web. When trying to upgrade to 10.5.5 using downloaded updater from Apple site (not software update), got kernal panic and ultimately had to wipe the drive and re-install.

Using stock 80G hard drive and have upgraded to 1.5Mb RAM.

Any hope for upgrade? Sound?

I used the msi wind install iso and used apple software update to go to 10.5.6. You have to use an external keyboard and mouse after and install to 10.5.6 kext pack and reboot. Once its done if you follow the instructions out there for auideee and install the developer tools it works great. When I had tried on 10.5.4 it didnt work. Trying to fix the trackpads a bit you cant adjust the tracking speed afterwards. Also my express card slot isnt recognizing my At&T card. Hopefully someone has a fix.

Thanks. Have since used msiwind iso and at 10.5.5. Seems like 10.5.6 breaks too much.

I have recently installed iDeneb 10.5.7 on a s10-2, had a little trouble at first but everything is working except the web cam and sleep feature.

Didn't try the card reader, or iLife, iWorks went just fine.

Say, what are the benefits of upgrading? Are these like Service Packs for Windows?
