septicdeath
Probally not a mac only hardware question, but thats where I want to use it so I figure I'll start here. I have a sas/sata internal card that uses miniSAS connectors on it, it handles 8 drives, I've got the internal connection taken care of, Im looking or asking anyone if they know of a backplane piece I can place in a unused card slot that will allow me to provide a female miniSAS on the backplane piece, I would imagine its just a female to female mini sas that allows me to use a male mini sas to male mini sas to extend the femail minisas to the backplane? Thank in advance. I know female to female minisas's exist, its how Im connecting to the mac pro's default minisas that goes to the 4 internal drive cages, Im just looking for one in a slot backplate. Thanks in advance.
