blurtek
I think this belongs here. Sorry if not. Hi everyone, I am getting an error when trying to use my internal Seagate 250GB SATA drive for Time Machine back up. I get the "cannot find backup drive" error . - I have formatted the drive as HFS+ Journalled, 1 GUID partition - no problems reading/writing to the drive for normal usage - Time Machine can see the drive, selects it as the backup drive, and even changes the icon on the desktop to indicate it is the TM drive - I have no other errors &/or hardware problems that I know of - full system specs below in sig I've done quite a bit of searching without finding an answer. There is a few posts on things to try with a networked drive (specifically around updated IONetworkfamily kext), but this does not seem to address an internal HD. I hope someone can give me a hand with this one. Cheers. Just noticed my sig didn't post. Here's my system info: Current Build: Kalyway 10.5.2; Core 2 Duo e4500; Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4; 2x1GB PC2-6400; XFX GeForce 8800 GT Alpha Dog; WD 500GB Sata; Seagate 250GB SATA; WD 500GB IDE; Samsung SH-S203N 20X SpeedPlus; Lian Li PC-V1000 -- Current OC settings: e4500 @ 2.9GHz; Ram @ 833MHz 4-4-4-12 2T; 8800 GT @ stock.
