I think this belongs here. Sorry if not.

Hi everyone,

I am getting an error when trying to use my internal Seagate 250GB SATA drive for Time Machine back up. I get the "cannot find backup drive" error :D .

- I have formatted the drive as HFS+ Journalled, 1 GUID partition

- no problems reading/writing to the drive for normal usage

- Time Machine can see the drive, selects it as the backup drive, and even changes the icon on the desktop to indicate it is the TM drive

- I have no other errors &/or hardware problems that I know of

- full system specs below in sig

I've done quite a bit of searching without finding an answer. There is a few posts on things to try with a networked drive (specifically around updated IONetworkfamily kext), but this does not seem to address an internal HD.

I hope someone can give me a hand with this one.

Cheers.
