skt
Hi, I have never used a mac before, I have no knowledge of OSX platform. I am looking to develop couple of iPhone applications. How easy it will be, is it a good idea to do it myself? I am a C# developer. How big will be the learning curve? And does the iPhone SDK work with all mac notebooks? I am thinking of getting a cheap mac laptop on eBay. Is there any minimum requirement on system configuration/os version etc? Thanks.

skt
Thanks for the reply. Can any one please let me know if this is possible. Can you import the contacts from iphone address book and store it in a database, or something similar, inside your app?
Poco
Well using the ABPerson Refernce you can interact with the contact data: -Add new -View and edit existing -Compare and sort -Get properties of contact -Manage contact pictures You can create a free account at: developer.apple.com/iphone to access all of the documentation. Just seach ABPerson Refernece in the Reference Library. iPoco
skt
I will look into the reference library this weekend. I don't want to interact with the contact data. I want to read the list and store a copy of it inside my app. Is that possible?
Poco
What do you want to do with the contact data then. Once you've read it and saved it what would you plan to do with it. iPoco
