imac-Joe
I'm new here. I own a Mac G5 POWERPC with dual 2.3 GHz processor. I use my pc for video editing and now I want to use it for High Definition video editing; but since my G5 was before apple's switch to intel based PCs I cannot use my G5 for my new projects. My friend is building my family a custom PC and I would like to make it a hackintosh so that way I can be able to use final cut pro. I don't even know if this video card will work with Mac OSx86 but maybe you guys can fill me in. Its the SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4870 X2 2GB 512-bit GDDR45 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready. I assume that because it uses PCI Express it should work. I have an ASUS Rampage I motherboard that we are going to use.
