nforce drivers question

Hello,

I've just installed ideneb 10.5.5 on an asus p5n32-e sli plus (nforce 650i) system. Actually I have this disk configuration:

* sata 1 + sata 2: disk in mirror mode (3 partitions) used by windows xp

* ide 1 master: dvd burner

* usb disk: os x

Is there a way to disable only the sata part of the nforce driver ? I don't want to access one of the 6 raid partitions and end up with a degraded array, but at the same time I need the dvd burner so I think I can't simply delete the nforce kexts...

I also noticed that during the boot process the detection of the 2 sata disks take a lot of time (spin on, spin off, flush fs buffer...). The whole boot process takes about 2 minutes (not that bad considering it runs from an external usb disk @ 5400rpm)

thanks!
