thefinalprophecy
I want to upgrade the 250GB drive in my MB134LL/A to a 500GB drive. I purchased this drive to do it with. I do NOT want to void my warranty. How can I do this? I have heard that Apple repair centers charge an arm and/or a leg to do this. I am fully confident that I can do it myself, but what can I do? If I take it to a local place like Geek Squad and pay them the $49 for it, will it still void my warranty, or will it be find since they are an "authorized warranty repair center"? Synaesthesia
How will Apple ever know that you replaced the hard drive?

SticMAC™
Only on the new MacBook or MacBookPRO and Old MacBook - the HDD is designated user-replaceable. On the old MacBook Pro, that is another matter, as it requires the machine to be completely disassembled! SticMAC Apple themselves tells you how: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303721 and http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/Mac...dDrive_DIY.pdf
