I wasnt sure where to post this because its an issue with the Internet and with Mac so Im not sure.. If it needs to be moved then thats fine but I thought this would be the best place.

Ok so on my Hackintosh Google will NOT work!

I dont know why because it was working when I first installed Mac (few days ago ... just a re install because I was having some problems)

At first I noticed Google Maps wouldnt work and Gmail wouldnt work (My Email provider) so I thought that was weird

So I though maybe it was OpenDNS for some reason so I switched back to my normal DNS servers and now NOTHING Google works at all! Not even my FireFox start page works because it has Google search in it.

Google Ads wont show up either

It just says Failed to Connect

Google works just fine on my Windows Vista partition of my computer but just not on Mac

I tried in VMWare Fusion(Windows Vista) and it didnt work.. But when I boot into Windows directly it works just fine

This is the weirdest thing I have ever had happen internet related

Any help would be appreciated

I am using iDeneb 10.5.5

Go to your network preferences and lower your MTU value. Begin at 1492 and then try to ping www.google.com to see if you get a response (or use your browser to access the site/s). Keep lowering it in steps of 8 bits until Google works. You shouldn't have to go any lower than 1400.

Thanks for the response ...

I just was getting mad because my Email service is Gmail and I needed to check my Email so I just used OSx86 Tools and reset to defaults which fixed the problem..

If it happens again I will try what you suggested :euro:
