Hey guys, New OSx86 user here.

Ive been messing with dual booting Leopard and XP ALOT lately on my Dell e1505, so far I have managed to not wipe my XP partition out with much thanks to Iatkos and Kalyways boot loader. I originally had started messing with tiger and Acronis Boots loader, but I progressed to Leopard. I seem to randomly crash my OSX install when messing around, and still not wipe out my XP install.

Whats the best way for me to backup my install?

I have a 30gb partition on an external drive I can back up a fresh fully working install to.

I have OSX on a 25gb partition and then I have XP on the rest out of an 80gb drive.

Id like to backup JUST my OSX installation an not mess up my XP setup.

But Im going to be SOL if I manage to kill the bootloader arn't I?

I plan to eventually try installing a retail version of Leopard, useing the 132 boot loader method, (think of it as more experimenting....which I like doing, If I figur it out and get it working, I move on to the next thing to try..and keep trying until I get it)

Does the retail DVD have a Darwin bootloader?

Sorry for all the questions, the last time I used OSX was in highschool when it first came out. Ah the days of Golive,Photoshop 6.0, Final Cut pro, and then iMovie.

Thanks.
