Colonel
nevermind i figured out the VMWare problem, but I am now having trouble installing Firefox. I extracted the .tar file to the home directory and I don't know what to do after that. I am using Mandrakelinux 10.1.
snackole
Did you download the source code or a binary file? Is it .tar or .tar.gz?
claudiu.ro
if you use mandriva you should now that mandriva (ex mandrake) use RPM (redhat package manager) rpm -ivh firefox but if you try to install firefos from a arhive is very easy first untar the arhive firefox (user a x program or a consola command : #gunzip nume.tar.gz or #tar xvf nume.tar) ok second step (is very ) ./configure make make install but is posible that firefox has a "script" . in this case you user that script exeample : setup.sh or install.sh that all i hope that what i write you mey help you ps : sorry for my poor english
CSMatt
I have a few questions as well: 1. How do I make the AirPort card work with Linux? 2. How do I tell Linux to mount the Mac OS X volume during startup? I know how to mount it manually, but I don't know where the startup script is. 3. How do I do file integrety checks manually? The last time an automatic check occurred the system rebooted and demanded another check. 4. How do I cange the speed of the pointer and change the option that makes Linux think I clicked when I tap the trackpad? I'm using Mandriva Limited Edition 2005 on my iBook.
