2. than i installed the coregraphics.framework from iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 with the help of Pacifist

3. than i installed the nvkushcomplete package

4. Restart

5. VOILA i got fully working FX5200

:o

now my 2nd aim is to get the FX5500 fully working

if i got success in that than the next aim is dual display

Hey Jess Fortress , what is the difference with this new coregraphics.framwork path. and the old one you gave us before? I noticed that the old file is 17.1 Mb , and this new one is 16.32 Mb. , in any ways , thanks for the files , I got my card now with the resolution I want , and the QE/ CI working . :)

Just using smallest size option when packaging the coregraphics.framework I guess.. the difference is the path from root to the coregraphics.framework, the previous one is incorrect, please read the thread written by twonine : posted Mar 26 2009, 07:03 A .. congratulation anyway.. :)

Hi Jess

Thanks for all your help and eveyone else that contributed to this thread. I tried so many different versions and combinations of Hackintosh installs, I was beginning to think I might be sadomasicistic. Your posts were the final clue I needed. Had lots of success with Kalyway and got my install up to 10.5.5. I could install iPCx86 10.5.6 but could not get graphics to work 100%. In the end: my setup.

Asus P4P E 800 Deluxe Motherboard

Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz single core

Asus 9250 video card(nvidia geforce fx 5700, I think)

1.76 gb ddr ram

1 sata 75gb HD, 2 ide 250gb HD's, 1 ide 75gb HD

on board AC97 audio

onboard Marvell ethernet.

Installed iPC OSX86 base install

9.4.0 modbin Patched Kernel

Drivers: Intel ICHx Sata driver, AC97 Audio, Skge Marvell Yukon driver. *note i left out video drivers.

Patch: CPU=1

After successful install did not reboot, I reinstalled 10.5.5 coregraphics frameworks you posted earlier and than NVkush complete package also found in this discussion.

Reboot and everything works great except for a couple of minor things:

1) Computer wants to sleep on reboot(most not all of the time. Vigorous mouse and keyboard clicking at just the right time during bootup hold the sleep but itis hit and miss). I'm using DVI set at 1680x1050@ 60htz. Anyone know and easy fix for this?

2) Screen artifacts in the toolbar when viewing control panels or Preview, only. Hmmm?

Ciao

  • 3 weeks later...

I have the same problem as the poster above.

I installed ideneb 10.5.6 with nvdarwin for my fx5200, then followed the instructions in this thread,

installing 10.5.5 core graphics and NVKush.

Now I also have the graphics glitch only in system preferences and preview.

If I use osx86Tools to enable quartz/gl, then the graphics glitch appears everywhere on the system.

Is there a solution to fix this?

thanks

yes

I finded drivers for nVidia GeForce FX5500 on Leopard 10.5.7

1. Delete all Geforce*.*, NVDA*.*, AppleGraphics*.*, AppleUpstream*.* files

2. Install nVIDIA Kexts from DiaboliK

http://diabolik1605.com/DHF/Installer/NVid...s-Kexts.pkg.tbz

3. Install NVKush Installer

http://diabolik1605.com/DHF/NVkush/NVkushInstaller.pkg.tgz

4. Reboot

It works... but with few glitches.

Thanks for russian guys - slice and TimeWalker from applelife.

OR...

you can install coregraphics.framework from iAtkos v5 Leo 10.5.5 and nvkushcomplete package.

Corruption fix (solved) here. [edited to correct directory path]

thanks to sanya in this thread:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1009751

10.5.7 and Fx5200. Now working with QE/CI/QGL and NO corruption.

Used all the previous methods here too. The Coregraphics pkg would go through the motions, but did NOT install the older files.

Found that instead of installing the 10.5.5 Coregraphics, I had to manually copy the Versions folder from the Core pkg. Used pacifist to unarchive the pkg, renamed the Versions folder in

/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CoreGraphics.framework/Versions

to

/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CoreGraphics.framework/Versions.old

then copied the pacifist unarc'd /Versions folder to that directory.

Rebooted, no more corruption.

Hope this helps.

Amit, thanks for catching the directory error. Fixed original post. more details below.

thanks to sanya in this thread:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1009751

P4 Celery on 865G MB, iAtkos v7, Fx5200.

If you have installed CoreGraphics 10.5.5 to fix the corruption issue,

it may not have installed correctly. check the dates on the files in folder:

/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/

CoreGraphics.framework/Versions

if they aren't July 2008 versions, and instead are March 2009, then you'll need to manually copy the

/Versions folder of the CoreGraphics 10.5.5 pkg into the above directory.

Use pacifist to un-archive the CoreGraphics 10.5.5 pkg and save it.

then rename /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/

CoreGraphics.framework/Versions

to

/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/

CoreGraphics.framework/Versions.old

then copy the CoreGraphics 10.5.5 /Versions folder into

/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/

CoreGraphics.framework/

Rebooted. No more corruption.

Let me know if this works for you.

Hrmmm. I can simply click and rename. I did try to install the core 10.5.5 package first by double clicking

and following the installer prompts, which didn't work as described previously.

iAtkos v7, admin here too.

I used carboncopy to move everything to a less noisy drive before the renames. Perhaps that might affect change permissions?

Sorry Kolden, I don't what else could keep you from renaming that folder.

1. I used command

sudo /usr/sbin/diskutil disableJournal /

2. With Parted Magic Live CD I have copied CoreGraphics 10.5.5

No more corruption. :)

I installed iAtkos v7 Leo 10.5.7 with options:

Bootloader: Chameleon 2.0

x86 Patches: Extra dir, DSDT, Decrypters (Apple decrypter), SMBIOS drivers (SMBIOS EFI),

Kernel 9.5.0, Disabler, OHR

Drivers: do not check video drivers (use this forum to install drivers for fx5500),

System Intel SATA/IDE, Sound (i installed other drivers), Apple PS/2 driver, Network Realtek RTL 8139

Try to disable integrated LAN in BIOS and use other adapter. I disabled Intel LAN on my motherboard and installed Realtek 8139D - non-problem network adapter. ;)
