I hate to bug people with a boot issue, because it seems like there are so many of them, but I've tapped out my knowledge and am hoping someone out there will take pity on me.

I recently replaced a kalyway 10.5.2 install with ideneb 10.5.5 in a dual boot osx/xp single drive machine. I use MBR, XP boot, and chain0 method. When I boot OSX, the darwin loader gives me a few seconds to press a key for options. If I don't hit a key it returns me to the XP boot menu. If I hit a key it repeats a "boot error" message a few times and then drops me into the darwin boot menu where I can select osx and it boots fine.

I know why if I don't hit a key it won't boot. By default, the darwin loader will select the xp partition, because that's the one marked active. So if I don't hit a key it'll try to boot the xp partition and give up. The "sector" errors are new to me. ideneb uses the new Cameleon loader, which could be part of the problem.

I've tried setting the "-v" and "rd=diskxsy" options in the the boot plist but that didn't help.

Also, if I set the osx partition active it boots straight into osx. So everything is fine, but the handoff from chain0 to cameleon is maybe the issue?

I see posting from people using xp and ideneb 10.5.5, so it works. If you got it working pointers appreciated.
