ReyZ Posted December 3, 2008 Author Share Posted December 3, 2008 Me myself, I use this driver for my geforce 8600m GT 512 MB This driver doesnt seem to be very specific cause many laptopuser with Gf 8600 gs to GS to 8800 are using it. All the other folders and such in there, are they necessary at all, or is this moreso your own zip of all utilities/drivers for your entire laptop? All I need to know is other than nvinjectgo.kext, what else do I need from this .zip to get my card to recognize hardware acceleration. Sorry, I am super new to osx and struggling SUPER bad trying to get my evga nvidia 9500gt 512 mb card to work (have the problem where scrolling and moving windows smears all over and gets screwy). Anyway what I meant to type was: I tried downloading again on windows and was able to unzip / extract it just fine using the password. OSX was the problem, it just said it was unable to open the file and nothing more. Have yet to try this out however as I may have found another solution. Thanks, Jim. stbr Posted March 20, 2009 Share Posted March 20, 2009 hmm... didn't help my 8700m gt (512mb) 'about this mac' says core is software, and quartz is unsupported... no changes from my previous kext (nvinjectgo 0.2.0 for 512 downloaded from nvinject website) what am i doing wrong? also major problem with opengl: basically it doesn't display anything. xbench window is black unless i move the window around (strange). ezquake says pixel format is not supported. nothng opnglly works. i contacted the author of this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=118274 who had the same problem, but no longer remembers what he did to solve it (he's switched to gma since) system is tosh sat x205 running 10.5.5 (from kaly 5.2-5.3 and the apple deltas for 5.4 and 5.5) most things work, but software video is just painful. please help!
