RiceTea
Changes look minor - unless you were a victim of the previous bugs. As yet no trouble reports on macfixit. When do we see OSX86 10.4.6 (although my feeling is we may not need it, OSX86 10.5 will be the big thing)?
bofors
This is a pretty fat update for x86, 163 MB: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/mac...46forintel.html It might be worth installing after it is "fixed" for non-Apple hardware.
Louis
Well actually the standalone installer is not that interesting, but the combo updater is.....in fact, I think it's the first ever combo updater available for intel based Macs.... http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/mac...boforintel.html If maxxuss can hack it as well, it might make updating all the pre 10.4.5 systems a lot easier.... Not that I'm convinced that updating in a frenzy is the smart way to go....unless there's a fix you can't live without..... I'm happy in 10.4.3, everything I need, works, so I'm staying put....let everyone else sort out the unforseen problems....
bofors
In case any PPC Mac users are reading this, there are some "issues" with 10.4.6 PPC update being reported at Ars: http://episteme.arstechnica.com/groupee/fo.../m/211004848731 In particular, it is claimed that the update triggers two restarts with the second being attributed to a firmware update (very unusual). RiceTea
"Updates Calculator so that the percentage button ("%") will no longer divide, under certain circumstances, when you expect it to calculate percentage—this could happen in Mac OS X 10.4.3 through 10.4.5." LOL!! Changes look minor - unless you were a victim of the previous bugs.

declan
Safari is still crashing left, right and center, but that was the case before the update as well, so.. It makes me glad to have a hackintosh, no safari quits yet, though i do miss the ease of upgrading, no waiting to see if it breaks the os
