Radeon HD 2600 PRO on 10.5.6 with Megalodon

Hello everbody!

I am trying to get the new Megalodon framebuffer working on my Radeon HD 2600 PRO (DVI connection). Lamna works fine (older version of Natit), but I always get a black screen with Megalodon when I use a newer version of Natit.

Versions:

  • ATIRadeonX2000: 1.5.30
  • OpenGL: 1.5.7.31.0

I want to try Megalodon because sometimes I get some strange behavior. I am on Leopard 10.5.5 with vanilla kernel (see my sig for for more specs), Natit and munky's Chameleon.

Is there anybody here who got Megalodon working with a 2600 PRO and DVI connection?

Thanks,

mcsmart

PS: The attached screenshot was taken with Lamna.

I am now using ATIRadeonX2000 version 1.5.34.10 and I am still stuck with Lamna.

Is Megalodon even supposed to work on a 2600 PRO? Is there anyone here who can say something about this? Maybe Netkas? :)

By now I am on 10.5.6 (vanilla) and I figured out that Megalodon only works with VGA, but not with a DVI connection! Is there a way to fix this? My new 22" screen does not have VGA any more (only DVI and HDMI) :)

Again: how do you get DVI to work with a Radeon HD 2600 PRO and Megalodon?

Thanks,

mcsmart

On more thing: even HDMI works with QE/CI and Megalodon! DVI is the only connection type that does not work. Could it be my card?

I am still using Lamna, because I need the HDMI port of my GFX to connect to my main TV and the DVI port to connect to my 22" screen.

If there are any thoughts and hints on this - just leave them here.

If Netkas reads this: I would be very happy to provide you with further information ;)

thats strange ... hmm

Indeed. I just got a new 3870 and Megalodon (with DVI, HDMI and S-Video) is working great. Don't know what it was. It does not matter anymore - I am not using the 2600 any more ATM.
