Could someone please help me here,

I've tried EVERYTHING to get my 2400xt to work in 10.5

I've tried this tutorial- http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=94090

I've tried this one-http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t171150.html

I've tried this one- http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=137833

Every-time i try each one of these I get a blocky, distorted screen upon booting up and the only way to resolve it is booting in safe mode.

I've tried it in 10.5.6, and then 10.5.8 which i'm in now. (iPC 10.5.8)

When i tried them i did it in DVI which is the only thing that might be going wrong, except i tried the last one in VGA and it gave me the same blocky mess. My native resolution is 1680x1050 if that makes any difference?

Maybe it's because i've tried so many of them, that I need to to a clean boot???

Could someone please enlighten me on my options, I'm really starting to lose it!

(I'm on a Dell Vostro 200 by the way and everything works, Sound, Ethernet etc. except the graphics i.e. only 1024x768) thanks.

  • 2 weeks later...

anyone got it working on snow leo or lion ? can't really use my 1.5.8 because a lot of the apps that I want don't support it anymore.

I've got no problems getting qe/ci in leopard but in snow I've tried every possible method that people suggested on these and other forums...even methods from other cards, no luck.

What buggs me is that I've seen people with ATI cards as old or older then this that have qe/ci in snow leo...that means that there must be some way to get this one working as well.

Please...if anyone has any tips or something that we should try, post it.
