Hi all,

I finally got a MBP and did the install and everything went as would expected until the drivers. All drivers as posted work, except for the WIFI.

I got the drivers recommended (77wc36ww.exe). Run its install, reboot as it asks, and when I restart it still shows up in

device manager under other devices with a yellow ? as "ethernet controller". I right-click and update driver and point to the

folder C:\drivers\WIN\WLLANATH\WINXP_2K and it doesn't do anything. So I tried another driver for the Atheros AR5006EX off

driverhaven. It does install, but gives the "device won't start code 10". But, with the supposed IBM 'working' driver I can't

even get that far. What else is there to do?

Can someone with it working check their device ID number against mine and see if they really are different? What else could be

the issue?

PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_001C&SUBSYS_0086106B&REV_01\4&20975680&0&00E1

it's in

PCI SLOT 2 (PCI bus 3, device 0, function 0)

Nick
