Hello! Firstly I'd like to thank you for great and helpful support.

My question is: Is there any way to run bluetooth, audio input and brightness working on 10.6.4?

Best regards.

Hi,

i have 10.5.4 OSX installed. What is the easiest way to upgrade to 10.6.x ?

is it even possible, or is a complete new installation needed?

Information is unfortunately rare on this toppic.

thanks

i found the answer by myself. I downloaded the 10.6.2 img file from the tea-blog:

http://tdev.me/2010/...amsung/?lang=en

installation was very easy:
- i copyed the tea-blog image to my windows partition
- then i bootet the nc10 with a osx installation dvd in an external dvd drive
- after that you can mount and install the image using this tut:

Restoring data to your startup disk
If you want to selectively restore data to your startup disk, you must start up your Macintosh from an installation of Mac OS X on another hard drive. If you do not have an installation of Mac OS X on another hard drive, you can boot from your Mac OS X Installer DVD and use Disk Utility to restore the entire disk image:

  • Reboot your computer from the Mac OS X Installer DVD
  • After the Installer application loads, choose "Disk Utility" from the Utilities menu
  • From the File menu, choose "Open Disk Image..." and locate the disk image that you would like to restore
  • In the list in the pane on the left, click on the mounted disk image's volume
  • Click on the "Restore" tab on the right side of the window
  • Drag the mounted disk image to the Source field. Leopard users: If the Source field does not accept the dragged volume, right-click on the disk image's mounted volume and choose "Set as source" from the contextual menu.
  • Drag the hard drive that you would like to restore to into the "Destination" field
  • Check the box to erase the destination, then click on the Restore button.

works absolutely fine for me. everything is working. also brightness (Fn+F11 & Fn+Del)

enjoy!

Good day,

I’ve just installed 10.6 retail with NBI, but there is no sound and brightness control. I’m just wondering: after update to 10.6.5 and copying kext’s from Tea’s 10.6.5 image will my system be fully equipped?

Hi all,
I am looking for the correct German keyboard layout for the nc10 running osx.
I know there is a nearly perfect one but i cannot find it.
Thanks in advance, it would be very nice if someone could post it for me.

Fellow NC10 owner here, I'm running 10.6.8 and the only patched Kext's are for the GMA950 and AppleHDA. It works well once booted up. :)

However occasionally it hangs when FakeSMC is loaded, here's a screenshot:

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did they fix it?

Hi fellows!
Could someone post a guide/files pack to enjoy osx on this little beast?
Every link seems to be down, I've searched for mystique site but is down, biketown is down, everything seems to be down, also link on netbook chart brings to a dead end..
If someone could share a good guide (maybe the mystique one?) with the bunch of files to get it working, would be awesome!

Thank you guys!

It's a lost cause! Mine still runs but once it stops I wouldn't know how to fix it. Might be best to find an alternate laptop. Either Dell or HP.

I have found the JaSosx 10.5.4 iso and Mysticus patch file for 10.5.4 iso to NC10 10.5.6.ppf alongside the Apple chud package 4.6.1 on Alt.Binaries.Mac newsgroup uploaded by the user NC10 between January and March 2009 if they are any use. You'll need a usenet service with over 1661 days retention though. The files downloaded with no problems and patched ok too. I haven't found any of the other files, or the PDF. I want to try this out on my nc10, It's got Windows 8 on it at the moment and I want to try this. Hope these help.
